Auto Maintenance
Auto Maintenance scans your published blog posts in NordicPulse and finds two concrete kinds of decay: outdated years in titles (for example "best tools 2023") and dead outgoing links. Links are checked with real HTTP calls, and you see the status code for every dead link.
No AI is involved. This is pure measurement of your own content, and nothing changes without you approving each individual fix.
Who it's for
Anyone publishing their blog through NordicPulse who wants to catch decay before readers and search engines do. Outdated years and dead links cost credibility and rankings.
Prerequisites
- Starter plan or higher
- 15 credits per scan. Approving fixes is free
- Published posts in the NordicPulse blog. The tool cannot scan external sites
Step by step
- Press "Start scan". The tool works through your most recent published posts.
- Review the issue list. Year findings show a before-and-after version; dead links show the URL and HTTP status.
- Approve fixes one by one, or use "Fix all". Years update to the current year; dead links are removed while the text is kept.
- Copy the report from the activity log if you want to document the cleanup.
Reading the results
The stats row shows posts scanned, links checked, findings pending and fixes made this session. A link is only reported dead when the check actually received an error response; ambiguous cases, like timeouts, are not reported as dead. That makes the list trustworthy, but it also means some bad links can slip through.
Common problems
- "You must be logged in": sign in again and retry.
- The scan fails: your credits are refunded automatically. Try again a little later.
- No findings: a good sign. Run a new scan after your next publishing round.
Limitations
- Scans at most your 50 most recent published posts, and checks at most 30 unique links per run.
- Years before 2015 are ignored.
- The settings panel for scheduled runs and notifications is not active yet; scans are started manually.
- The activity log covers the current session only.
