Competitor Outbound Map
Competitor Outbound Map crawls a competitor's website and maps every external domain it links to: partners, sources, directories and resource pages. This is real crawl data from up to 40 pages, no AI involved; links a competitor gives are links you can often get too.
Who it's for
Anyone doing link building who wants to know where the competitor's link network points. Their pages with the most outgoing links are often resource pages, and the domains they link to are a ready-made prospect list.
Prerequisites
- Growth plan or higher
- 20 credits per crawl
- The competitor's URL
Step by step
- Paste the competitor's address; https is added automatically.
- Start the crawl. Expect 30 to 90 seconds.
Reading the results
- The summary shows how many pages were crawled and how many unique external domains were found.
- The category breakdown groups the domains (social media, government, directories and so on) so you quickly see what is a real link prospect and what is noise.
- The top domain list expands per domain to show exactly which pages link there.
- "Pages with most outgoing links" is the gold mine: these tend to be resource pages, and resource pages accept suggestions.
The report can be copied as text; it is not saved in the app.
Common problems
- The crawl fails: check that the address is correct and publicly reachable; credits are refunded automatically on failure.
- Few pages crawled: sites that block crawlers or are pure JavaScript apps yield thinner results.
Limitations
- Maximum 40 pages and depth 4 per crawl; large sites are mapped partially.
- Categorization is Norway-oriented; foreign domains land in "other" more often.
- The interface is currently in Norwegian, also for English users.
