Content Capsule Optimizer — User Guide
What is Content Capsule Optimizer?
Content Capsule Optimizer analyzes the heading structure of your web pages to determine if they follow the "content capsule" pattern — question-format headings followed by a concise, direct answer. This is the pattern AI search engines (Google AI Overviews, Perplexity, ChatGPT) prefer when selecting sources to cite.
What is a "Content Capsule"?
A content capsule consists of:
- Question-format heading — e.g. "What is AEO?" or "How do AI Overviews work?"
- Direct answer in the first sentence — concise (under 300 characters) so AI can easily extract it
- Source references — increases credibility for AI systems
- Structured content — lists, tables, or numbered points for details
