Content Sentiment Analyzer
Content Sentiment Analyzer measures the emotional tone of a text: an overall score from negative to positive, sentence-by-sentence classification, sentiment per mentioned entity, emotional intensity and suggestions for tone adjustments.
The primary source is DataForSEO's NLP analysis, meaning measured numbers. If that source fails, an AI fallback takes over, and the badge in the app then reads "AI Analysis (fallback source)" instead of the green DataForSEO label, so you always know which source produced the numbers. The recommendations at the bottom are always AI-generated.
Who it's for
Anyone who wants to check that a text actually hits the intended tone before publishing: that the sales page is positive without shouting, or that the crisis statement is no more negative than necessary.
Prerequisites
- Available from Scout (the free tier)
- 5 credits per analysis
- A text of at least 20 characters
Step by step
- Paste the text, up to around 10,000 characters.
- Run the analysis.
Reading the results
- The gauge gives the overall picture; the tone profile translates the number into words.
- The distribution bars show the balance of positive, neutral and negative sentences. A sales page typically leans heavily positive; a knowledge article mostly neutral.
- The sentence list is the editing tool: find the negative sentences dragging the average down, and decide whether they are intentional.
- The entity table shows whether specific names (products, competitors, people) are mentioned positively or negatively; useful for catching unintended bias.
Common problems
- Button disabled: at least 20 characters of text.
- A fallback-source badge on the report: the primary source was unavailable; rerun if you need measured numbers. If the analysis returns no sentences at all, it aborts and your credits are refunded automatically.
Limitations
- Texts over 10,000 characters are truncated.
- Long texts analyze best in parts, one section at a time.
- Results are not saved.
