Fact Injection Layer
Fact Injection Layer runs one real web search through Perplexity and returns verifiable facts about a topic: people, companies, statistics, events and products, each with a source, source link, date and confidence level. From that it builds a ready-made context block you can paste into AI prompts, so the content you generate afterwards is grounded in actual search findings rather than the model's guesses.
The search is real and badged "Perplexity — Live": the sources and links come from actual search results. The phrasings and the confidence level are Perplexity's own assessments of what it found. If the search finds nothing usable, the run stops and your credits are refunded; the tool does not invent facts.
Who it's for
Anyone writing content with AI who wants fresh, sourced facts in the prompt first: industry numbers, named actors and dates the model otherwise doesn't know or misremembers.
Prerequisites
- Logged-in account with enough credits
- 30 credits per search
- A keyword or topic
Step by step
- Enter the topic, for example "the Norwegian accounting industry 2026". Enter starts the search.
- Wait while Perplexity searches and structures the findings, typically under a minute.
- Review the fact cards and check the source links for the claims you plan to use.
- Copy the context block, or send it straight to Content Factory with the inject button.
Reading the results
- The fact cards show 3 to 8 findings with type, source, date and confidence. Low confidence means Perplexity itself is unsure; double-check the source.
- The context block is pre-formatted markdown, made to be pasted at the top of an AI prompt.
- The refresh button in the result panel reruns the whole search and costs another 30 credits; the confirmation dialog shows the price before charging.
- "Inject into Content Factory" stages the block in Content Factory and takes you there.
Common problems
- "No results": the search produced no verifiable facts. Credits are refunded automatically; try a more concrete topic.
- The context block disappeared: the handoff to Content Factory lives only in the browser tab. If you close the tab before using it, copy the block manually next time.
Limitations
- One search per run; large topics are best split into several concrete searches.
- Results are not saved to your account.
- The confidence level is the model's own assessment, not an independent fact check.
