Gap Hunter
Gap Hunter answers one concrete question: does every service you offer have its own page on your website? You enter the site URL and list your services; the tool genuinely crawls your sitemap, reads the title and heading of each page, and matches services against pages. The result is a coverage percentage and a list of services missing their own page.
The crawl is real and the matching is deterministic text comparison; no AI is involved. What the tool finds is actual content on actual pages.
Do not confuse this with AEO Gap Hunter, a different tool for content gaps in AI search.
Who it's for
Local businesses and their agencies who want to know which services lack a landing page, the most common structural gap in local SEO.
Prerequisites
- Logged-in account with enough credits
- 250 credits per analysis
- The site must have a sitemap; without one the analysis stops and credits are refunded
- You enter the service list yourself, at least one service
Step by step
- Enter the website URL.
- Click "Import from Google Business Profile" to fetch your service list directly (requires a connected GBP account under Settings), or add services manually. The order is used as priority: the first five count as most important.
- Run the analysis and wait while the pages are crawled.
Reading the results
- The coverage percentage shows the share of services with a matching page.
- Per service you see whether a page exists (with URL and match quality) or is missing.
- Missing services are your build list: one dedicated page per service.
- Download the report as CSV to keep working in a spreadsheet.
Results are not saved, so export before leaving the page.
Common problems
- "No sitemap found": the analysis requires sitemap.xml. Credits are refunded automatically; publish a sitemap and try again.
- A service shows as missing even though the page exists: the matching reads titles and main headings. If the page does not mention the service there, it does not count as covered, which is an SEO finding in itself.
Limitations
- Matching is text-based on titles and headings, not a content analysis of the full page.
- The GBP import requires Google to have granted quota for the Business Profile API (default quota is zero). If you see a quota message, it is Google approval that is missing — not your connection.
- Priority is controlled only by the order you enter services in.
