Media Sync
Media Sync compares the title of an article with the title of its companion YouTube video and gives you a match score. The idea: when article and video carry matching titles, it is easier for both search engines and AI assistants to understand that they cover the same topic.
Both titles are fetched for real — the article via our server, the video via the YouTube Data API. The score itself is pure text distance (Levenshtein), deterministic math with no AI. Note that the "AI Boost" effect the tool describes is an SEO hypothesis, not a measured effect; treat it as good practice, not a guarantee.
Who this tool is for
Anyone publishing articles with companion videos who wants the titles synchronized without manual comparison.
Prerequisites
- Signed-in account
- 10 credits per check
- Article URL and YouTube URL (both required)
How to use it
- Paste the article URL and the YouTube URL.
- Confirm the run in the credit dialog.
- Read the score and the title comparison, and copy the suggested video title if you want to update.
How to read the result
- 95%+: the titles count as synchronized.
- 80–94%: partial match — small wording differences.
- Below 80%: the titles diverge; use the suggested title as a starting point.
- The distance number is the count of character edits between the titles; lower is better.
Common errors
- "Could not fetch the article": the URL must be publicly reachable. Credits are refunded automatically when the run fails.
- The wrong video is fetched: check that the YouTube URL points at the video itself, not a channel or playlist.
Limitations
- Title comparison only — descriptions, chapters and content are not compared.
- No saving or history; copy the result before closing.
- The tool does not update YouTube for you — you change the title yourself in YouTube Studio.
