Mention Monitor
Mention Monitor finds pages on the web that mention your brand, with domain strength and sentiment per mention — and helps you turn unlinked mentions into links. For each mention you can generate a ready outreach email to send.
The data is real: mentions come from DataForSEO Content Analysis, and domain strength is fetched live per domain. Sentiment ships with the data source, not from AI. One precision: the "linked/unlinked" labeling compares domains — it does not check the page itself for an actual link. Confirm manually before emailing about a "missing" link.
Who this tool is for
Anyone doing digital PR or link building who wants to find mentions that should have been links.
Prerequisites
- Signed-in account (agency tier in the catalog)
- 20 credits per search (re-searches too)
- Brand name and website URL
How to use it
- Enter your brand name and website, and run the search.
- Review the list: up to 30 mentions with domain, context, strength and sentiment.
- For unlinked mentions: generate the outreach email, personalize, and copy it.
- Export the whole list as CSV for follow-up in your own system.
How to read the result
- The opportunity value sums the domain strength of unlinked mentions — that is where the potential sits.
- Domain strength is DataForSEO rank (0–1000 scale), not Moz DA — compare within the list, not against DA numbers from other tools.
- The sentiment donut shows the overall tone of the mentions.
- "Mark as claimed" is a session-only working flag — it does not survive a reload; treat the CSV as the record.
Common errors
- The search fails: credits are refunded automatically.
- Few hits: try the most common spelling of the brand; short generic names add noise.
Limitations
- Link labeling is a domain heuristic — verify on the page before outreach.
- No history; export the CSV before closing.
- The email draft is a local template filled with your data — nothing is sent from the tool.
