Metaphor Gen — User Guide
NordicPulse AI's tool for generating creative, original metaphors for content and copywriting.
What is Metaphor Gen?
Metaphor Gen turns an abstract or dry concept into vivid metaphors you can use in copy, talks or presentations. You enter a concept and the tool returns a numbered list of original metaphors across varied source domains (nature, sport, cooking, machinery). Each metaphor comes with a short rationale for why it works and a suggestion for where to use it.
How to use it
1. Fill in the form
- Concept: What do you want metaphors for? E.g. compound interest, data security or onboarding.
- Audience (optional): Who will read the text? E.g. non-technical leaders.
- Tone / style (optional): Professional, Playful, Poetic, Bold, or Simple and folksy.
- Number of metaphors (optional): 3, 5, 8 or 10. Default is 5.
2. Run the generation
Press the run button. The tool costs 2 credits per run.
3. Read the results
You get a numbered list. For each metaphor you see the metaphor itself in bold, a "Hvorfor det funker:" (why it works) line and a "Bruk:" (use) line.
Understanding the results
- The metaphor is ready to paste straight into your text.
- "Why it works" explains the link between the image and the concept.
- "Use" suggests where the metaphor fits best (headline, intro, explanation).
The source domains vary between metaphors, so you get genuinely different options to choose from.
Cost
2 credits per run.
Data integrity
Metaphor Gen generates only from the concept you enter. It does not invent facts or numbers about the concept. If the concept is too vague to build a good metaphor, the tool asks for one concrete detail rather than guessing.
Tips
- Be specific in the concept description — "how data breaches spread" yields better metaphors than just "security".
- Set an audience so the imagery is tailored to your readers.
- Ask for more metaphors (8–10) when you want plenty to choose from.
