Sitemap Generator
Sitemap Generator crawls your site and builds an XML sitemap from what actually exists — with priority and change frequency per page — and compares it against any sitemap you already have: which pages are missing, and which sit in the sitemap without being found by the crawler.
Everything is measured: a real crawl (up to 50 pages), deterministic XML generation, no AI. Hence one important warning: if your site is larger than 50 pages, the generated sitemap will be incomplete — use it as a diff tool then, not as a replacement for your full sitemap.

Anyone suspecting their sitemap is stale — or missing entirely — and wanting a measured answer on the gap between sitemap and reality.

How to use it
- Paste the URL and run.
- Read the stat cards: crawled, indexable, missing-from-sitemap, in existing sitemap.
- Work through the comparison tab — the discrepancies are the value.
- Download or copy the XML, and publish it on your site.
How to read the result
- "Missing from sitemap" are pages the crawler found that your sitemap does not mention — they usually belong in.
- "In sitemap, not crawled" can mean stale entries — or pages deeper than the crawl limit; verify before removing.
- Priority and frequency in the XML are derived from page position — adjust manually for important pages.
Common errors
- The crawl fails: credits are refunded automatically.
- Fewer pages than expected: the 50-page cap (depth 5) — see the warning above.
Limitations
- Max 50 pages per run — larger sites get an incomplete sitemap; do not upload it as the source of truth then.
- No saving or history; download the XML before closing.
- The tool's screen labels are in Norwegian even when your app language is English.
