Topic Graph — User Guide
NordicPulse AI's free tool for visualizing what your website is about.
What is Topic Graph?
Topic Graph crawls your website, extracts titles and meta descriptions from all pages, and uses AI to group them into topic clusters. The result clearly shows what your website is actually about — and whether you have content pulling focus away from your core business.
The tool is inspired by whatismywebsiteabout.com, but integrated into the NordicPulse platform with Norwegian and English support.
How to use the tool
1. Enter your domain
Go to /resources/topic-graph and enter the domain you want to analyze (e.g. example.com). Click Analyze topics.
2. Wait for crawling and AI analysis
The tool does three things:
- Crawls the website via Crawlee (up to 50 pages in the free version)
- Analyzes topic structure with Gemini AI
- Builds the topic graph with clusters, focus score, and summary
3. Read the results
When analysis is complete, you'll see:
- Website summary — AI-generated 1-2 sentence description of what the site is about
- Focus score (0-100) — how concentrated the content is around the core topic
- Pages analyzed — number of pages crawled
- Topic clusters — number of clusters identified
Understanding the visualizations
Topic Map (Treemap)
Default view. Shows topic clusters as rectangles — the size reflects how many pages belong to that cluster. Peripheral clusters (unrelated to core business) are marked in red. Click a cluster to see details.
Bubble Chart
Alternative view with circles. The core topic appears in the center, with related clusters around it.
Detailed View
Expandable cards per cluster with:
- Pillar page — the likely hub page (shortest URL path in the cluster), highlighted in green
- Page listing — all pages in the cluster with title and URL path
- Core/peripheral tagging and percentage
Email gate
The first 3-5 clusters are visible immediately. To see all clusters and the complete report, enter your email address. We only use your email to send you the report and SEO tips (optional).
Cost
Topic Graph is completely free. No login, no credits. Email registration unlocks the full report.
For deeper analysis with AI recommendations, content strategy, competitive analysis, and export, see Topic Graph Pro (50 credits) at /app/tools/topic-graph-pro.
Data integrity
- Crawlee — Live: The website is crawled in real-time. No cache.
- Gemini — AI Analysis: AI groups pages based on titles and meta descriptions.
- Up to 50 pages are analyzed in the free version (200 in Pro).
Tips
- Use the focus score as a benchmark. Above 70 = good focus. Below 40 = significant topic dilution.
- Peripheral clusters (marked red) should be considered for removal, noindex, or consolidation.
- The pillar page identification helps you see if you're missing a clear hub page for each cluster.
- Run the analysis again after content cleanup to see if the focus score has improved.
