Gap Hunter
Services in your Google profile that have no page of their own
What it does
The services in your Google Business Profile show what you offer. If a service has no page of its own on your website, the search engine has no page of yours to show when someone searches for exactly that service. Gap Hunter fetches your sitemap, reads the title and main heading of each page and matches every service against them. Services can be imported directly from the profile or pasted in. The result is a coverage score and a list of services that were found and services that are missing. The crawl has a page cap: if the sitemap is larger, the report shows how many pages were actually read.
Services in your profile with no page to be found by
Every service in your Google Business Profile without its own page on the website is a search you will struggle to show up for. Without a systematic check, the gaps are hard to see.
- No overview of which services the website actually covers
- The profile and the website have drifted apart over time
- Checking every page by hand takes a long time on a large site
- Hard to know which landing pages to write first
See which services are missing a page
Gap Hunter compares your service list with the pages on your website and shows the result service by service.
- Import services from Google Business Profile, or paste them in
- Sitemap crawl that reads each page
- Coverage score and status per service, with the URL that matched
- Download the report as CSV
Features
- Website crawl: Fetches your sitemap and reads the title and main heading of each page. The report shows how many pages were actually read.
- Services from your profile: Pull the services straight from the profile for a chosen location, or paste the list yourself.
- Coverage score: One figure for how many of your services have a matching page.
- Status per service: Each service is marked as found or missing, with the URL it matched and a priority based on its position in your list.
How it works
- Enter your website address, and import services from Google Business Profile or paste them in
- The tool crawls your sitemap and matches every service against the page titles and headings
- Read the coverage score and the list of services missing a page, and download the report as CSV
Use cases
- Local businesses that want to know whether the website covers everything they offer
- Agencies working out which landing pages a client is missing
- Businesses that have added new services to their profile and want to check that the website has kept up
Why use Gap Hunter?
Your Google Business Profile and your website are often updated by different people at different times. Over time, services get added to the profile that never get a page of their own, and when someone searches for exactly that service, the search engine has no page of yours to show.
Gap Hunter makes the comparison concrete. Instead of going through your pages one by one, you get a list: the services that have a page, and the services that are missing one.
The list is a good starting point for new landing pages. Every missing service is something you already offer and have already described to Google, but that your website does not yet mention.
FAQ
- How does it decide whether a service has a page?
- The tool compares the service name with the title and main heading of the pages in your sitemap. Matching uses fixed rules, not AI, so the same input gives the same result.
- What if my website has a lot of pages?
- The crawl has a cap. If the sitemap is larger, the report shows how many pages were read, and a service marked as missing may sit on a page that was not included.
- Do I have to connect Google Business Profile?
- No. You can paste the services yourself. Importing directly from the profile requires a connected account and that Google has granted access to its API.
- Does the tool create the missing pages?
- Not yet. You get the list of services without a page, and you write the pages yourself or with one of the content tools.
