Local Heatmap
What it does
Reviews the catchment area you describe and assesses where you are likely weak in local search. Gives a prioritized action list per area.
You have no idea in which neighborhoods you're visible — and in which you're completely invisible
Local search results vary with the user's position. You can rank high in one neighborhood and far down in another just a few kilometers away. Without a systematic review of your catchment area, prioritization becomes arbitrary, and effort lands where it is easiest rather than where it is needed.
- No structured overview of geographic visibility
- Blind spots where competitors dominate without you knowing
- Marketing budget spread evenly instead of focused on weak areas
- Wrong assumptions about local coverage based on searches from the office
An area-by-area review of where local visibility likely falls short
Local Heatmap starts from what you describe — address, neighborhoods and towns you want to cover, your keywords and what you know about competitors. The AI works through the areas one by one and points out where you are likely weakest, with reasoning and actions. You get a written review, not map graphics.
- Area review: neighborhoods and towns assessed one by one
- Keyword-level assessment: which searches are most sensitive to distance
- Competitor assessment: paste in what you know about competitors in each area
- Action list per area: what needs to be in place where you are weak
Features
- Prioritized list of which areas to take first, and why
- Keyword-level assessment of how much distance matters for each search
- Actions per area: reviews, local content, citations and business profile
- Template for your own logging, so you can track changes between runs
How it works
- Describe the business, the address, the areas you want to cover and your keywords
- The AI assesses which areas are likely weakest, and explains why
- Get a prioritized action list per area, and a template for following up yourself
Use cases
- Local businesses wanting to understand their geographic visibility
- SEO agencies structuring local SEO work for clients
- Chains wanting to compare priorities between branches
Why use Local Heatmap?
Local SEO easily degenerates into one task at a time: a few reviews here, a landing page there. An area-by-area review forces the opposite — you see the whole catchment area at once and must decide where effort actually belongs. That is the value here: structure in prioritization, not new measurement data.
The competitor picture becomes clearer when you write it down. If you paste in what you know about who is strong where, the AI can point out patterns you have overlooked yourself — for example that a residential area where you are weak is served by a competitor with many local reviews and content naming the neighborhood.
The assessment is a starting point, not an answer. The tool sees no search results, so the numbers must come from a rank tracking tool. But as a structured plan for which areas to take first, and what needs to be in place in each, it saves you a lot of guesswork.
FAQ
- Does the tool actually measure rankings from different points?
- No. Local Heatmap fetches no search results and measures no rankings. It is an assessment: you describe the area, the keywords and what you know about competitors, and the AI gives a reasoned review with actions. Actual positions must be measured with a rank tracking tool.
- How detailed is the review?
- As detailed as the description you provide. If you list districts and towns separately, they are assessed separately. If you only give a city name, the review is correspondingly coarse.
- Can I cover several keywords at once?
- Yes. You can enter several keywords in one run and have them assessed for how sensitive each is to where the user is standing.
- How do I use the results?
- Start with the highest-priority areas and work through the actions: are you missing reviews from there? Local content mentioning the place? Citations? Then measure the effect with a rank tracking tool over time.
- Is the assessment updated automatically?
- No. The tool runs when you press the button, and there is no background job or alerting. To follow progress, run a new assessment later and compare it with the previous one.
